The Audinet Interface
The AudiNet interface can be used to greatly improve the Audine camera performance. This is done by replacing the parallel PC / Audine link with an Ethernet PC / Audine link. Resulting advantages:
- the loading time of images is significantly shorter (6 seconds for a KAF-400 Audine in 1x1 binning).
- the connection cable can be longer (50 meters).
- you can directly connect the Audine camera to an Ethernet network and (why not) to the Internet.
- the computer remains available while images are loading.
- you can run any operating system.
AudiNet is a complete solution based on a standard, off-the-shelf electronic component and software programs that interface with the astronomy software AudeLA. You do NOT need to modify your Audine camera to use the AudiNet interface.
